Francy is 1!!!

Hi friends!! I have a one year old baby and I am still not sure how time has flown by so quickly. We have had a really busy, but fun, month and I am just now sitting down to soak it all in. Francy turned one on June 12th and I’m still in disbelief that a whole year has gone by since I had her. The old saying is so true – the days are long, but the years are short. This has been the best and most challenging year of my life. We are just so incredibly blessed to get to be this sweet girl’s parents. She is a firecracker and we just love her so so much.

I feel like she has just grown up so much this past month. She is a real little toddler now with a whole big personality which is just so much fun. Francy has been in swim lessons for a couple months and while she can’t swim on her own quite yet, it has really helped her become very comfortable in the water, which is the goal. We spend a lot of time on the weekends at my mom’s pool and I am so glad she just loves the water. My mom’s pool has a little ledge that is perfect for her to stand. She loves to walk back and forth all around the edge of the pool.

Francy continues to be a great eater. Francy eats what we eat, I’m not cooking twice. 😉 Her favorite meals are salmon, any fruit, and pasta with pesto. Yummy, although very messy. 🙂 We are still breastfeeding and have no plans to give it up.. we both love it. We also just switched from supplementing with formula to pea milk which she seems to like. She is very easy going with any food/milk.

Francy’s favorite things currently include: music (this girl loves any and all music – if you put on music she immediately starts swaying – it is SOO adorable), the doggies, water, bath time, clapping and her most favorite right now is her Mimi (my mom). She will not go to anyone else (including me) when my mom is in the room. Her eyes just LIGHT up when she sees my mom. I’m a little jealous 😉 but this just solidifies our reasoning for moving back to Nashville. It is SO great to see Francy love our families. My mom and dad each watch her once a week and the other 3 days we have our beloved nanny watch her, who Francy also just absolutely adores. Her nanny got her this cute new swimsuit for her birthday. 🙂

Francy has just started giving kisses and it is my absolute favorite thing ever. She has also started pointing when we say “where is momma, where is dada.” She is babbling nonstop these days and says apple, momma and dada, but doesn’t know exactly what they mean so we haven’t claimed a certain word as her first quite yet. She is on the verge of walking. She crawls sooo fast, can climb the stairs by herself (reminder to order a baby gate!!), and holds on to the couch and coffee table and goes around and around all day long.

This past month we went to my husband’s family reunion at the lake in Georgia and Francy had a blast. She was a little skeptical of the boat, but didn’t hate it so I will take it.

We also took a trip to Rosemary beach in Florida for Francy’s birthday and my sister’s 30th birthday.

My sister, me and Francy had matching swimsuits. Francy loved it even though this picture does not look like it. 🙂

We took lots of walks, played at the beach and the pool and played lots of games.

My cousin gave Francy her very first jean jacket that says her name on the back and Francy was very excited!!

Francy also got to go see daddy play tennis last week and she was very very interested. We will be going more often!

And oh yes, Francy girl has a LOT of hair… enough for pigtails… my dream!

For her first birthday we had a party with friends and family with the theme FRANCYLAND (a play on Candyland)!

My mom and I made those lifesize suckers out of pool noodles. 🙂

We had tons of balloons and a candyland pathway.

We also played pin-the-bow-on-Francy. 🙂

It was the most wonderful day celebrating our sweet baby doll.

Francy did not understand the cake smash assignment. LOL. 🙂

This is what she looked like after Jon tried to help her smash the cake with her hand. 😉 Like WHY DAD!!!!

This little girlie keeps us on our toes and we wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband is known for giving everyone a million nicknames so I thought I would share all our current ones for Francy: missy, missy moo, moo moo, angel, angel face, little missy… I am probably forgetting some. 😉

We are just beyond blessed to have this sweet girl in our lives. She is fun, sassy, and knows what she wants. My hope for Francy is that she always stays true to herself, never stops shining her bright light, and becomes anyone and anything she wants to be. Francy girl – the world is yours (we are just living in it). We love you more than you will ever know sweet baby doll. XOXOXO … okay I have to wrap it up now, I’m crying 🙂

Will end on a picture of Francy with her favorite person in the world. 🙂

Francy is 11 Months!!

Hi!! Hope you all are doing well!! This past Thursday Francy girl turned 11 months old!! I can’t believe she is almost 1 year old. Time is flying by, but we are just loving every day with our girlie right now. She is so interactive and has such a fun little personality. I love watching her explore the world and get excited about trying new foods and new activities. She has such a fun zest for life!

Francy is growing so fast – she is over 24lbs of pure love now!! She is now crawling and crawling FAST. You can’t turn your head or she will be gone! LOL. The below blue and white polka dot outfit was my sister’s when she was little!! Isn’t it darling? I love seeing Francy in our old outfits.

She loves sitting in her little chair that is just her size. 🙂 Francy loves to clap and high five! We are still breastfeeding and supplementing with formula.. I honestly never thought I would be breastfeeding at 11 months but I’m proud of us. I love our special time together.

Francy likes to be entertained most of the time, but every once in a while, she likes to be left alone to play independently and explore all of her toys.

My mom and I always laugh because Francy has this mean-muggin look she gives you and it just cracks us up. She loves to be outside – on walks or just lounging. We recently got a porch swing and are out there swinging multiple times each day.

Francy thoroughly enjoyed her first Easter at Mimi’s house. Any excuse to put this girlie in a cute dress…

Francy loves any outing… especially riding in the grocery cart. 🙂

Francy currently loves: bath time, pool water (basically anything that involves water), eating (she is such a great eater and is not picky at all), being outside, car rides, nursing, swings, seeing how fast she can get to the dog’s food bowls before momma catches her, music (she sways back and forth and her face just lights up when you sing or play music for her) and babbling on and on and on. She loves crawling, but likes holding onto our hands and walking too. I have a feeling she will be walking in no time. The baby proofing has begun. 😉 She still has just 2 teeth on the bottom, but her 2 top teeth are about to pop through any day now. Her hair is growing SO fast – she gets compliments on it everywhere we go.

My mom’s pool has a little standing ledge that is just perfect for Francy so she can stand up in the pool.

My little watermelon.

Francy dislikes being put down for a nap or bedtime, being contained (girlfriend wants to explore!!), waiting for her food (when she is hungry, you will know it), and when mimi leaves (mimi is currently the favorite and I have been demoted to 2nd place :().

Truly just so in love with our sweet girlie. Her facial expressions are so funny. You all should hear her chatting – she just talks and talks and talks and gets loud and wants to make sure you are listening at all times. 🙂

We have 2 family reunions and a family beach birthday trip for my sister and Francy coming up so it will be so fun to see Francy with all of her extended family. I am also so excited to see if she is going to like the sand.. I think she will but who knows!!

One more month and my angel baby will be 1! I cannot believe it! We have been busy planning her first birthday party and I will be sure to share pictures afterwards. It is a candyland theme – Francyland!!! XOXOXO

Francy is 10 months old!

Hi friends!! Hope you are having a fabulous week so far! We are getting back into the swing of things after a nice weekend away for our friends’ wedding in Texas. Francy got to stay with my in-laws and had a blast being spoiled by them. 🙂

Yall, I cannot believe my baby doll is 10 months old!! HOW?!!?!?

She is just growing up way too fast, but I seriously love this age so much and she just gets more fun and interactive each day which is just a blast.

Francy is into everything – she loves phones, tv remotes, toys, the dogs collars, utensils, and basically anything she can get her hands on.

Francy started swim lessons last week!! My mom is taking Francy for lessons each week and she is already a pro at floating on her back… she will be swimming in no time. 🙂

Francy currently loves: our new porch swing (she can swing for hours), eating, nursing, music, the jolly jumper, car rides, being outside, the doggies, long walks (in the carrier, not the stroller), bathtime, reading books, typing on daddy’s computer, reaching for things and throwing everything ;), and riding in the grocery cart.

We order our groceries online for pickup each week so Francy hadn’t been in a grocery cart until a few weeks ago. Safe to say we will be grocery shopping in person now. 😉

She loves people watching while shopping and just loves riding in the cart.

Francy loves banana bread so I have been making her some each week to have with a yogurt for breakfast.

She really loves black beans and rice so she has that dinner quite a few times a week.

Sweet angel girl loves her baths.

Francy is not a fan of bedtime or nap time, although she does typically go down pretty easily. She is in a mommy stage and does not like when I give her to anyone else to hold or if I put her down. She wants mommy to hold her 100% of the time. 🙂 I secretly don’t mind.

She is on the verge of crawling ANY day now. She can scoot backwards, in circles, and can do about 1 or 2 crawls forward before belly flopping on the ground. She is ITCHING to crawl sooo badly and it is just a matter of time.

Francy has 2 little teeth now and has the cutest little grin.

This little girly is growing fast and almost 22 lbs of love!! Francy is still nursing and I am pumping a few times during the day as well. My hope is to make it to 1 year and then wean down… speaking of, we have started planning Francy’s first birthday party! We are also doing a beach trip with my family to celebrate Francy turning 1 and my sister’s 30th so it will be fun to do a beach trip with Francy girl.

She is still the happiest baby and is rarely upset for long. She loves to clap and sway to music. 🙂 She is still sleeping about 11-12 hours a night and taking 2 good naps during the day. My mom and dad are still each watching Francy one day a week and we have a wonderful nanny who watches her the 3 other days. Jon and I both love working from home and getting to see Francy often throughout the day. It is such a blessing.

Can’t believe my baby girl is growing up so fast. Just soaking up every moment with my sweet baby doll. Just love her soo much and am so grateful to be her mommy. 🙂

XOXOXO

Francy Girl is 9 Months Old!

Hi there! Here we are again. Another wonderful month with our sweet baby girl and this month has just been the best. I say it each month but it really is true, watching your baby grow and learn and be curious about the world is just so cool. She is interested in everything and it is so fun to see her zest for life. She is such a happy baby and I am so grateful to be her momma.

The monthly pictures are getting harder and harder to do since this girl is moving constantly. Wiggly worm. And everything goes straight into her mouth. 😉

She truly is just so precious and happy all the time.

This last month was the first for quite a few things for miss Francy. Francy got her first tooth a couple weeks ago! I looked in her mouth one day and there it was… I would have not known otherwise. I was ready for the teething trouble – cranky baby and fever and she had no signs at all so I was quite surprised when I saw it one day!! LOL

Francy has also started to high five and clap! It is soo cute!! She is very giggly and still thinks the doggies are the funniest ever.
Francy does this hilarious thing where if you are holding her and you say “meow meow” she immediately lays her head down on your chest. No idea how she learned that but it is quite funny and so sweet.
I joke all the time and say I work so I can afford to buy Francy clothes. LOL. I just love little baby clothes and can’t help myself. My mom is the same way. I hardly ever buy new clothes for myself, but for Francy, I can’t stop. 🙂
Francy currently loves: the doggies, the jolly jumper, going on walks, bathtime, reading books, nursing, babbling at bedtime, momma singing to her, eating and trying new foods, our phones, the tv remote and smiling.

Francy dislikes: getting in her sleep suit, doing any activity for more than 10 minutes (besides the jolly jumper), and laying or sitting too long (girlfriend likes to be up on her feet!).

Still loves the ball pit!

Francy went to her first SEC Women’s basketball game this month.

And her first Mardi Gras party!
Another amazing month with my sweet sweet girlie!! I just love her to pieces

We got to see my in-laws and my husband’s family this past weekend in Indy which was so much fun!

Her one year birthday will be here before we know it and this momma is not ready!! LOL. Soaking up every moment with our sweet girl. We are beyond blessed. XOXOXO

Francy is 8 months old!

Hi friends!! I know I say this every month, but I really cannot believe another month has gone by and I have an 8 month old! I’m just trying to savor every moment with my girl because time passes too quickly and I know one day I will want these moments back… even the sleep deprived ones. 😉

This has been a BIG month for our sweet girl. She has become so animated and interactive and she is definitely keeping us on our toes. She is still the sweetest little girl and has fallen asleep in my arms a few times this month (something that hasn’t happened in quite a few months!).

The biggest change this month has been with her sleep. Francy was consistently going to bed between 8-9pm and waking between 8-9am, but she was still waking up to nurse around 11pm, 3am and/or 6am. Needless to say, we were all exhausted. My husband and I were both hoping she would cut out one of the 2-3 night feedings soon, and you guys, the craziest thing happened. Francy would very randomly sleep through the entire night, but it was always so random. Well last week, she slept through from 8pm to 9am on Monday and then again on Tuesday and so on… and has been sleeping through the night for over a week now. She cut out all night feedings all at once. The first couple nights we were like, oh this is definitely a fluke and won’t last. Knock on wood, she has been sleeping through the night since. It just kind of goes to show that babies do things when they are ready and on their own time. She has been a great napper since we moved to Nashville and takes a morning and afternoon nap each day… typically one is 2 hours and the other is 1 hour.

Reality of taking pictures with an 8 month old. 😉

The other hilarious new thing in regards to her sleep is that she moves A LOT. Every night I put her in her crib with her head pointed to the right of her crib and after just a little while, she is completely vertical in her crib and by morning her head is pointing towards the complete opposite direction of when I put her down. It cracks me up. Girlfriend likes to move.

Francy is also loving all the food!! She has tried about 35 different types of food… our goal is 100 by her 1st birthday! Honestly she hasn’t found anything she doesn’t really like yet! She loves the little puffs for babies and those are definitely her favorite snack, but she loves peanut butter, yogurt and all fruit. She loves to feed herself too. She’s a big girl now. 🙂

Mimi gives her all the yummy foods when momma isn’t looking. 😉

She still loves her milk the most though. She is still nursing and I pump a few times a day and we supplement with formula. I keep thinking we are going to wean soon, but Francy still has interest in breastmilk and nursing and my supply has stayed up so we will keep going as long as we can.

Francy spent lots of time with Aunt Morgan and Uncle Max this month which was so much fun!

Francy is very interested in books now. She loves to turn the pages and has a few favorites already.
Francy’s current loves: bathtime (splashing!!), walks, musics, the jolly jumper, books, eating, momma’s milk, the doggies, and our phones (Francy got a phone from my sister and from my dad and she is enamored).

Francy and her new ball pit!! That gummy smile just makes me so happy. Still no signs of any teeth coming soon. Her hair… is wild. 🙂

Francy dislikes: being put down in her crib, being bored/not doing anything, tummy time (unless she has something distracting to play with), and putting on her sleep suit/sack (because she knows that means it is time for bed).

Francy and her cute friend, Reese!!

It has been such a fun month with my little angel. She is just the most precious gift and I am so lucky to be her momma.

I am taking my first trip away from Francy this weekend and am looking forward to some girl time, but also already looking forward to seeing my babydoll when I get back. I know the time apart is good for both of us and it will be good for Jon and Francy to have some time too!

Will be back soon! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!! I’m off to warmer weather. 🙂 XOXO

Francy is 7 months old!

Hi friends!! I have a 7 month old… how is that possible? I swear I look at my calendar and a month just passes by so quickly. But each day truly gets better and better with our girlie. She is getting so interactive and her personality is really starting to come out which has been so much fun.

Francy’s current favorites: the DOGS (as always).. she stares at them and has started petting them.. it is really cute. She really loves sticking her tongue out, eating (she has tried over 20 foods now!), being outside, bathtime, and she has recently really started to love books. She loves to turn the pages and will sit still for quite awhile while you read to her. She also is still obsessed with her jolly jumper and loves to jump jump jump while listening to music (loud!).

So obsessed with this little nugget.

Post bath smiles 🙂

She loves Riley… he is pretty blind (completely in one eye and half in the other) so he runs into her constantly… thankfully she is unphased by it).

Cheese sticks… yum! We are loosely following the baby led weaning approach with incorporating some purees and some more solid foods and allowing Francy to feed herself.. although both of my parents do NOT like to give Francy the spoon… it is messy, but it is good for her.

Mimi teaching Francy to love books at a young age. 😉

And like most kiddos, she is mesmerized by our phones. 🙂

We had our first big snowstorm in Nashville last week and I took Francy on a short little walk with the pups and she loved it.

That face!!!!

Still using baby socks for mittens. :). LOL

Francy also took a liking to daddy’s credit card. 😉

There is nothing better than seeing your besties love on your baby. It is seriously the best feeling ever. Francy loves my besties Lissa and Rachael too. She loves girls nights. 🙂

Since we moved back to Nashville my parents have each been watching Francy one day a week (forever grateful for the help!) and we hired a nanny to help us the other 3 days a week and it has been going great so far. We have really been working to get Francy on a good nap/sleep schedule. She is taking 2 naps in her crib each day (we made the transition to the crib about a month ago and it is going well!) and sleeping from about 8ish to around 9am each day. She still gets up to nurse about 2 times each night. I am working to decrease the night feedings, but I will say, I like the extra snuggle time with my girl. I am still breastfeeding her at night and pumping around every 3-4 hours throughout the day. I thought we were slowly getting to a point of decreasing breastmilk, but Francy still loves it and my supply is still good so we will go as long as we can. I’m not putting any pressure on myself to make it a certain amount of time, but so far as of now, it is still going well for us. I’m extremely grateful for that… although I will not miss having to pump when the time comes. 🙂

Francy’s doctor in San Antonio gave me some great advice that I really appreciated. He said “You are inviting Francy into your life and family so include her, but don’t make everything all about her. You should include her in conversations, but they should not all revolve around her.” So that is what I am trying to do. Ofcourse she is our main focus, but we also have lives and other priorities too so my husband and I are trying to really do more things together and make sure we each have our own time too. That also means taking the baby couch shopping and not being so strict with her schedule that we can only leave the house at certain times… so sometimes she naps on the go. :). This works well for us at the moment and I hope we are creating a flexible/go with the flow child. We shall see!! 🙂

It has been a great last month with our sweet girl in Nashville! We have loved being back close to family and friends… now if we could just get some of that Texas weather up to Tennessee… we would be set!

Better Late Than Never… Francy Girl is 6 Months old!!

Hi friends!! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the holidays with your loved ones. We are finally settled in Nashville and unpacked and just trying to find some sense of normalcy. :). We have been busy busy busy and are looking forward to slowing down a bit.

In the meantime we have a 6 month old on our hands!!! I do not know how it has possibly been 6 months but here we are. The fastest 6 months of my life. and the most special and most exhausting too. 😉

This little girlie is quite ball of energy these days and keeps us on our toes! She loves: bathtime, being outside, trying all the new foods (I think we are up to 15ish), and ofcourse, her doggies!! They are still her absolute favorite.

Another big thing that happened this last month is that Francy has transitioned from her bassinet to her big girl crib in her own room. But don’t worry, she is still waking momma up in the middle of the night to nurse. 🙂

She is just over 17 pounds now!!! This girl is growing way too fast!

Francy dislikes being tired, bedtime, and sitting still for too long. She really is a very happy baby but she likes to be entertained. 🙂

The giftwrapping was the highlight of Francy’s Christmas. 🙂 She loved the crinkly paper and the bows.

And the dogs…..
Francy got quite the assortment of Christmas outfits that she has been showing off.

We are celebrating Christmas a little late this year with my family, but can’t wait!

Francy enjoyed sitting in the box while we opened gifts. LOL.

Will be back soon to share more!! I hope you all enjoy the rest of the holidays!!! XOXOXO

Exciting News to Share!!! We Are Moving… to Nashville!!!!

Well friends, the secret is out!!! We are moving to Nashville!!!

We have had quite the exciting last few months over here… from having a baby, to traveling for my sister’s bachelorette party and visiting family for a month, to my sister’s wedding in Cabo, to a new job opportunity for Jon (that is taking us to Nashville), a new position at my company for me, to selling our house in San Antonio and buying a new one in Nashville. Yall, it has been a WILD ride, but it is almost over and we get to relax!!

We have been doing a LOT of this for house showings. 🙂

We actually put an offer on a house in Nashville site unseen.. eek. We had our realtor and my mom go look at it and with house crazy the market is right now, we knew we couldn’t wait or we would be living with my parents for a longgg time. LOL. So Francy and I headed to Nashville a few weeks ago to see the house!!

Francy and Grandpa!

Jon’s momma was able to meet us in Nashville to get some Francy snuggles and see the new house too!

My dad, Francy, and I went to my little brother’s hockey game! Francy was soo entertained and interested. So cute.

Francy napping on Mimi on the porch while I got some work done. 🙂 Seeing my parents and Jon’s parents become grandparents is seriously one of the best feelings in the world. It is just so special to have people love our baby girl so much.

If we do not brush Francy’s hair right away after a bath, it looks like this. 🙂 🙂 So funny.

Mimi bought Francy a new little seat for her house and she loved it. Such a big girlie!

Tito is over the chaos!!! Me too, Tito, me too.

We are officially under contract on our house in Nashville and our house in San Antonio and plan to move within the next month. We are really gonna miss San Antonio – our friends and the weather. But this has been our plan for a long time and once we had Francy we just knew it was the right move. We want her grandparents to be a big part of her life and let’s be honest, we could use the help. Raising a child takes a village and we are soo excited to be near our people!! We will be living close to both of my parents and are excited to be just 5 hour drive to Jon’s parents too. Life is so good and we sure are ready for this next phase!!

XOXOXO

Francy is 5 Months!!

Hey friends!! How are you? Time is just flying by these days and I cannot believe Francy is already 5 months old. I just want to pause time right now. She is just so much fun right now.

We had a bit of a sleep regression this last month, but thankfully this past week has been great. She still gets up to nurse about once or twice a night, but I am not quite ready to cut those feedings because I really love our time together. 🙂 Now ask me that in another month and I may be over the middle of the night nursing sessions. 🙂

Francy as a pineapple for Halloween 🙂

Francy’s current favorites: riding in the car, taking walks in the carrier, being outside, momma singing to her, bathtime, sitting in the high chair like a big girl, music, and ofcourse, the DOGS! She is literally obsessed with them and stares at them whenever they are near. She won’t respond to me or Jon if the dogs are in the room…she just loves them. They like her too, but I don’t think the feeling is quite as mutual. 😉

A big first this month was trying food!! We have been giving Francy bites of purees and she loves it. I started with veggies and have let her have some fruits too. She is unsure about green beans, but will eat them. Her favorite right now is bananas. Yum!! I talked to her doctor about incorporating food and he was all for it so she has been getting a little bit each day. This has also helped because she isn’t chugging down bottles and I am mostly able to keep up with her demands of milk, with maybe a bottle of formula thrown in every other day.

I don’t have a specific time I will stop breastfeeding, but it is currently still going well for us. If we make it to 6 months, I will be happy, if we make it to a year, I think I deserve a nice reward from my husband. LOL. ;). It is hard work and pumping all day in between meetings is quite the accomplishment, but I know it is worth it.

Francy had a check up last week at the doctor and she is over 15lbs now (in the 65% for weight). She is growing like a weed. She has come a long way from being in the 10th percentile for weight when she was born.

She has started smiling and giggling a LOT. She is still a very happy baby. My favorite time of day is when I go to get her up in the morning and she is just smiling and as happy as can be. It starts my day off in the best way.

Francy dislikes: being put down, when the bottle is finished, and car rides when we are stopped at a red light.

My husband is the king of nicknames.. don’t ask how many we have for each of our dogs, but I thought I would share the continually growing list we have for Francy at the moment.

Francy pants, Franny, Fran, Franny girl, Angel, Angel baby, Angel face, Missy, missy girl, baby doll… there are more but I will stop. 🙂

Just enjoying every moment with our sweet girl and can’t wait to see what this month brings!!! XOXOXO

Fall in San Antonio TX

Hi Friends! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying some cooler fall temperatures. We sure are down here in Texas. Fall is the absolute best season here with temps in the 70s and low 80s .. it is just so nice. We have been having a lot of fun lately.

A couple weekends ago we took a little trip to the botanical gardens for a pumpkin fest! Francy was dressed for the occasion. 🙂

My sweet baby doll.

Francy had to take her two pumpkin outfits. Jon about died when I said we had to do an outfit change that was not prompted by a diaper blowout. LOL.

Hey, she can only wear these cute outfits for a limited amount of time so we are getting the most out of them! 🙂 I love that she now has enough hair to add cute little bows. Baby girls are so fun!!

I think you all deserve to see the angry pumpkin. LOL. She was not having it!

We have been out on quite a few date nights this month, which has been so fun.
Francy loves to be out and about and people watch. 🙂
We have been getting in LOTs of walks with the pups and baby doll. This picture cracks me up. Her crazy hair and that tongue. LOL

We are looking forward to Francy’s first Halloween next week!! Are you dressing up? Have you done any festive fall activities this year yet? Tell me what’s new with you guys!!

Talk soon!!

XOXOXO
